The American Association of Geographer’s annual conference has a Wine, Beer, and Spirits Specialty Group and sponsored a wine tasting workshop conducted by Bonne Cuvee Wine Tours and Tastings where we compared Old World Wine to the same United States varietal counterpart.  Harsha was asked to come and discuss terroir from an academic point of view as part of the workshop. He dazzled us with discussions of the topography and the climate disruptions occurring in the wine production zones. He is a true wine treasure!

Knowing he was talking to a bunch of geographers he put together a talk geared to our interests.  He had maps, and explanations of the how the soils contribute to the terroir of the regions and was comfortable discussing how the wine makers have an impact on the flavor of the resulting wine as well.   He graciously answered all our questions as they popped up showing us how truly versatile and knowledgeable he is on all things wine.  His anecdotes helped the workshop participants connect to the vineyards we were drinking from in ways that made the workshop truly memorable.
